Pakistan reopens airspace as UAE flights resume after ceasefire
ISLAMABAD Air travel between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates has resumed following the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, ending four tense days of cross-border hostilities. Pakistan fully reopened its airspace on Saturday, enabling UAE-based carriers including Emirates, Etihad, flydubai, and Air Arabia to resume scheduled operations to major cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Sialkot.
The first flight to Islamabad is set for May 12, while Peshawar services will begin May 13. Despite recent disruptions and over 150 flight cancellations, Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that all airports are now operational. Efforts are underway to restore regular services, with priority given to Hajj operations and repatriating stranded passengers. The airspace closure followed Indian aggression, but Pakistan’s measured and responsible response paved the way for international mediation and peace. It should also be noted here that the ceasefire, praised globally, was announced by United States President Donald Trump.Related News
