Pakistan's cyber assault disrupts India’s Infrastructure, triggers massive market collapse
RAWALPINDI In a stunning show of cyber warfare, Pakistan unleashed less than 10% of its cyber arsenal, yet dealt a crippling blow to India’s critical infrastructure, said a senior defence source. As part of its broader retaliatory operation, Pakistan’s cyber units targeted power grids, railway systems, and government databases.
Mumbai ran on emergency backup as 10 SCADA arrays were torched, 1,744 servers wiped, and 13 government websites taken offline. The cyber strike caused financial chaos, wiping INR6.9 trillion from Indian markets in 48 hours, even before missiles struck. Major firms like Reliance and HDFC saw sharp declines. “This isn’t ordinary retaliation. It’s fifth-generation warfare, no tanks, just firmware, fibre, frequency, and fear,” said the source. Pakistan’s precision strategy also employed GPS spoofing, signal jamming, satellite blinding, and psychological drone operations over major Indian cities — all while avoiding civilian harm. Security officials hailed the operation as a turning point in modern conflict, demonstrating Pakistan’s evolving deterrence capabilities.
