India’s false claim of foiling infiltration attempt at LoC exposed
MUZAFFARABAD After the Pahalgam attack, India’s claim of killing two alleged infiltrators in the Sarjior area along the Line of Control today has turned out to be false, with informed sources indicating that the claim appears to be a deliberate attempt to propagate a fabricated narrative.
The sources said that there are significant discrepancies in the timeline, ground realities, and the photographic evidence released by Indian sources, adding that the individuals whom India claimed were infiltrators have been identified as local residents. Malik Farooq, son of Siddique, and Muhammad Deen, son of Jamaluddin, were peaceful citizens of the village Sarjior. According to relatives, both men were reported missing on the morning of April 22, a day before the alleged infiltration incident, proving that they had disappeared before any possibility of crossing the LoC. Photographs released by Indian sources also contradict the official Indian narrative. One of the bodies shown is clean and shiny, with black shoes—hardly characteristic of someone who had allegedly traversed a rough, mountainous path. The deceased’s clothing is surprisingly clean, and there are no signs of dirt or blood on the weapon, nor any indication of a confrontation at the site. The second body similarly lacks any load-bearing equipment, extra ammunition, water bottle, or any military gear that would typically be carried by an infiltrator. One of the deceased was carrying only a pistol, a detail inconsistent with any recognised military strategy for infiltration. Statements from local residents and the families of the deceased further substantiate that both individuals were peaceful civilians with no connection to any military or illegal activity. Indian forces have been accused of killing them in cold blood and staging the incident as an infiltration attempt. Pakistan has called upon the international community to take serious notice of this grave violation of human rights.
