India accused of false propaganda against Pakistan after Pahalgam attack
PAHALGAM India continues its propaganda campaign by falsely accusing Pakistan of the recent attack in Pahalgam in the Indian-occupied Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists and left several others injured.
Pakistan has condemned the baseless Indian propaganda, aimed at diverting attention from its own security lapses in the heavily militarised region. Following the Pahalgam incident, Indian officials and media outlets were quick to point fingers at Pakistan, despite the absence of credible evidence. Pakistan’s Foreign Office dismissed the accusations as politically motivated, asserting that India is using the tragedy to malign Pakistan and distract from its failure to maintain peace in the region. Observers have noted a swift and coordinated social media campaign, featuring hashtags like "#PakistaniTerror", reportedly promoted by accounts linked to Indian intelligence. Indian media has also come under fire for allegedly circulating doctored images to support its narrative—including a widely criticised photo purportedly showing an attacker without any visible injuries. Additionally, Indian authorities have attempted to link the attack to two missing civilians and claimed the involvement of Pashtu-speaking individuals, again without presenting verifiable proof. The timing of the attack, which coincided with the visit of US Vice President JD Vance to India, has raised concerns about the possibility of a false flag operation. Pakistan has called for an impartial investigation and urged the international community to intensify scrutiny of India’s actions in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
