As of Sept. 1, Bay Ferries had sold tickets for 35,056 passengers who will travel on the ferry throughout the 2022 operating season. In the month prior – as of the Aug. 1 date – the number of overall 2022 season tickets sold had then stood at 28,538 for passengers traveling back and forth on the ferry.
Based on current bookings and historical sales for previous years of operation since 2016, the ferry operator says this suggests annual traffic for the 2022 season will fall in the range of 37,000 to 41,000 passengers.
