Powering the flagship Mercedes roadster is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that is good for 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.
claims the car can hit 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and a 196 mph top speed but as this reviewer discovered, it is actually faster than the German automaker claims.During a high-speed run down the Autobahn, the reviewer was able to push the car through to 328 km/h as indicated on the digital speedometer.
The car delivers some other impressive straight-line feats. Indeed, it is able to run from 100-200 km/h in 7.73 seconds, eclipsing a Dodge Charger Hellcat, BAC Mono, and almost matching the 7.72 seconds of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed. It also ran the quarter-mile in 11.25 seconds, just a touch slower than the 11.23 second time recorded by the Maserati MC20 and the 11.21 second time of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
