13-year-old boy granted bail in shooting death of Toronto boy, 15. He will be released on bail under the supervision of his mother, grandmother and aunt, a judge ruled.
A 13-year-old boy charged with the second-degree murder of a 15-year-old boy and armed robbery of a pharmacy will be released on bail under the supervision of his mother, grandmother and aunt, a judge ruled Tuesday.
The day before the shooting, the 13-year-old allegedly participated in an armed robbery of a pharmacy. Another youth also faces charges in connection to the robbery, during which police allege narcotics were stolen. Cohen’s reasons for granting the boy bail are under a common publication ban intended to protect his right to a fair trial.
