Position Overview: Under the direction of the District Mental Health and Addictions Services Manager, the District Early Intervention/Aftercare Worker provides mental health and addictions counselling.
Under the direction of the District Mental Health and Addictions Services Manager, the District Early Intervention/Aftercare Worker provides mental health and addictions counselling. Priority is given to clients who have substance abuse dependence or disorder and/or a concurrent disorder. Substance abuse assessment, pre-treatment activities, aftercare and relapse prevention activities are a priority.A minimum two-year Addictions or Social Work Diploma or a Diploma in a related field is required.
