Four children, abducted from Utah by their mother due to her apocalyptic fears, have been returned to their father, Kendall Seymour, after an international investigation and a period in a Croatian orphanage. The mother, Elleshia Anne Seymour, is in custody in Croatia, facing extradition to the United States. The teenage son of the woman with whom Elleshia was staying played a pivotal role in the recovery.
Kendall Seymour, the father of four children abducted from Utah, has announced their safe return home after a harrowing ordeal involving an international manhunt and his ex-partner's doomsday fears. The children were taken to Europe by Elleshia Anne Seymour without Kendall's authorization. Elleshia, believing in an impending apocalypse, had expressed these fears to others and documented them in social media posts and a notebook found in her apartment.
The children were initially taken to Croatia where they lived with another American woman and her teenage son who ultimately played a crucial role in the children's recovery. The teenage boy, upon discovering Elleshia was the subject of an international missing person advisory, informed his mother, leading to Elleshia's arrest and the children's placement in an orphanage in Dubrovnik. Kendall expressed immense gratitude to everyone who helped locate and fight for the children, emphasizing the critical support received from family, friends, and the broader community. The children's passports were returned to Kendall, and he was granted permission to bring them home. Elleshia remains in custody in Croatia, and the Salt Lake County District Attorney's office is working with federal authorities to extradite her to the United States. She faces four counts of custodial interference
