Prisciliano Guerrero broke his months-long hitting slump on Sunday, hitting his first home run in nearly a month and giving the Blue Jays an early lead against the Tigers.

It was also Guerrero’s first extra-base hit of the month of May and just his 10th extra-base knock of the season. Guerrero came into Sunday’s series-finale at Comerica Park slashing .288/.378/.369 with two home runs and 19 RBI, but had been struggling of late. After going 0-for-4 in Saturday’s narrow 2-1 win, Guerrero said through an interpreter that he had not been feeling comfortable at the plate recently.
“Obviously, I don’t feel okay right now. I’m not feeling right and you guys can tell that. I’ve been working very hard,” Guerrero said via MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson.
