"After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners. We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time."They met on the set of the Bill Murray comedy "Rock The Kasbah" and were married in the summer of 2015.
Deschanel was formerly married to the lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard. Scott was married to Kelsy Ully from 2007 to 2010.
