Zhiyun's new Molus G60 and Molus X100 LEDs are very small and compact lights designed for photographers and videographers.

The smaller light, the Molus G60, is roughly the same size as a Rubik’s Cube and weighs just 10.6 ounces . Despite its compact stature, the light promises up to 60 watts of power at max output. The 60W light offers a temperature range of 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin . The light is adjusted via a brightness nob.As for color accuracy, the light has a color rendering index of ≥96 and a television light consistency index of ≥97.

To keep the G60 cool during use, it features a DynaVort Cooling System. This system uses gyroscope modeling heat sinks and front-oriented control fans. The light’s max brightness is 2,376 lux without a reflector and 11,194 lux using the Zhiyun Mini Reflector. The larger Molus X100 isn’t much heavier than the G60 as it weighs only 13.6 oz. . In exchange for a bit larger form factor and greater weight, the X100 has a higher 100W output.

Its color temperature range is the same as the G60’s, although the X100 has a slightly lower CRI of ≥95. The TLCI remains the same for both lights. The more powerful X100 delivers 3,881 lux without a reflector and up to 17,317 lux with the Zhiyun Mini Reflector. The light utilizes a similar DynaVort Cooling System as the G60. The X100 can be powered using a grip battery, DC power, or USB Type-C PD device.

Both the G60 and X100 promise light modifier compatibility and the lights are compatible with Bowens-Mount accessories, enabling a more comprehensive range of light-shaping for photographers and videographers. Users can attach a reflector, diffusion dome, mini softbox, and more. The lights differ in terms of the overall design. The X100 looks much like a camera, especially when using the battery grip, which acts like the handgrip on many SLR-style cameras.

“Zhiyun is a brand that dares to think big and realize its boldest technical ideas. We do the hard work to make filming easy. The launch of the Molus X100 and G60 is no different,” says Zhiyun’s founder, Yilun Liao. “Whether you are a professional in the film industry, part of a small creative team, a freelance or amateur videographer, Zhiyun’s innovative and convenient products offer something to inspire anyone passionate enough to turn their imagination into reality.
