A Bedford Great Dane is named world's tallest dog.
And then he grew. And grew some more.
Zeus — who now stands 3 feet, 5.18 inches tall — was recently named the world’s tallest living dog by Guinness World Records. Zeus spends his days walking around his Bedford neighborhood, napping and roaming the Dallas Farmers Market, where he is a bit of a celebrity.. “Everyone knows him, and the vendors all know him. He gets extra treats and lots of attention.”“The comment that we hear most often is ‘Wow, that’s a horse!,’ ‘Can I ride him?’ or ‘Does he have a saddle?’” Davis told Guinness.
Although Zeus is pretty well-behaved, his size means anything left on the counters, like the baby’s pacifiers or food, is up for grabs, Davis told Guinness. The family got the idea to reach out to Guinness when they realized Zeus was likely taller than the former“This has been a whirlwind and unexpected,” Davis told Guinness. “We never thought we would own the largest living dog.”.
