KOLKATA - He has earned high praise from none other than legendary Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, but the Proteas now need to ensure Marco Jansen doesn't trail off when they need him most at the World Cup.
The beanpole 23-year-old all-rounder is engaged in a fierce rivalry with New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra as the breakout star at this year's tournament in India, where he has snapped up 17 wickets, at an average of 24.41, and an excellent strike rate of 22.82, and lit up South Arica's lower order with some crisp ball-striking.
