The reason for the celebration was the label’s newly-released collection by Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi, who has taken the design reins of the house since Karl Lagerfeld’s passing last year. Television darlings and supermodels alike came to sip cocktails and survey the new pieces just before NYFW kicks off.
With tons to do from Paris to New York, those who visited Fendi reported going the mellow route this year. “I’m keeping it low-key, low profile this month…. I’m just gonna have a fun night hangin’ out with my best friend over there, Darnell,” shared a smiley, breezy Zendaya, who coveredWhiplash star Miles Teller said, “We’re kind of just here [in New York] for Fendi, for this specific event. I’ve had a relationship with the brand for a couple of years now. My wife is a big fan. I’m just appreciative of the fact that I was able to wear something pretty comfortable.” He laughed, gesturing at his slouchy cotton overcoat and cream-colored V-neck sweater. Zendaya had the same idea, in a pair of checkered shorts that were cozy enough to sleep in.
After a long night of flowery cocktails, light bites, and dreamy garments, the night closed with a dance-off between sweethearts Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse, who moved to musical stylings from Soo Joo Park.
