The iconic Zellers logo will soon be seen in Nova Scotia again.SYDNEY, N.S. — The long-rumoured return of Zellers department stores to Nova Scotia became reality on Wednesday when locations for Sydney and Dartmouth were formally announced.
The second Nova Scotia location will also be within The Bay at the Mic Mac Mall. Twenty-three other locations will also open this spring across Canada.“I’m excited about it,” he said while enjoying a coffee in front of The Bay, where the new Zellers will set up shop.Zellers will return to Cape Breton this spring. It's new location will take up more than 8,000 square feet inside The Bay store at the Mayflower Mall.
“They were obviously good quality,” she said. “They had to have been. I used to get everything there. I used to shop there the same way I shop now at Walmart: the same idea. I’d get this, that and everything. And watch for the sales.” Online, the news of the return of the former retail giant was met with happiness and further questions about the store setup, particularly about the Skillett restaurant known for its western sandwiches and french fries and other diner-type meals.
