Zach Wilson enjoyed one of his best days of camp.
The backup quarterback was sharp in 7-on-7 drills, made quick decisions and connected with Alex Erickson on a perfectly placed 65-yard bomb that went for a touchdown. It was another shaky day for the struggling offensive line. The first team struggled to create a push up front, particularly in the running game. The group is without projected starting left tackle Duane Brown .Jermaine Johnson’s strong starts continued with a sack of Aaron Rodgers in team drills.
It was a nondescript practice for Rodgers, who was held out of the end zone, but didn’t turn the ball over, either. He completed 7 of 13 passes and was sacked once. His best completion was a third-down conversion to TE Tyler Conklin along the right sideline in the two-minute drill. He was intercepted by safety Tony Adams, but it was a free play after the defense went offside.LT Mekhi Becton didn’t practice due to a sore right knee — the same knee that cost him all of last season.
