YouTube lets advertisers use creators' video content as ads without their permission, hurting their ability to make money and build audiences

If an advertiser promotes a video to an audience that the creator doesn't target, the creator might get low-quality traffic from subscribers who are not interested in the creator's type of content.

YouTube's adtech tools are what enable advertisers to use creator videos as ads. The Jsaux spokesperson said that these tools help identify related YouTube channels and videos to promote.eight-month old partnership with Shopify.
