'It’s time for the Governments both north and south to take action and listen to our key asks and respond adequately and appropriately to them.'

Calls have been made for Derry and other parts of Northern Ireland to receive better youth mental health services and improved transport in the coming years as part of a cross-border initiative.

"We had multiple key asks from every county, for example, Derry's priorities surrounded policing, education, poverty and voice for youth. The young people, who were from counties representing all four provinces, called on the two administrations on the island to create more cross-border initiatives involving the youth of the island.

“Currently government and policy-makers are grappling with issues around the Northern Ireland Protocol and Brexit. Young people have spoken clearly that they want to have a voice on such matters."
