If paying higher gas prices is all we are asked to do to defeat Vladimir Putin’s Russia, we will be lucky.Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the man of the moment. He may die and he may lose, but he is showing us what a true strongman looks like and that those referred to as “strongmen” are nothing more than thugs and bullies.
His inspiring speech to the EU brought forth a standing ovation. I hope the entire world stands in support of Ukraine and brings an end to the right-wing extremism that has threatened to overturn liberal democracy in Europe and the United States. Perhaps we can yet save ourselves from the folly of focusing on small things that divide us and come together to save the future for our children.
