In the wake of the Uvalde shooting, a reader suggests everyone wanting to purchase a gun needs to take a gun safety class just like police officers and the military does.I believe anyone, especially those who are not prior gun owners, should have to attend a gun safety and certification class prior to purchasing a gun, especially assault weapons.
I believe once someone goes to a gun shop or show, they must sign up for and attend safety and certification classes for the weapon they want prior to purchase. Chip Roy seem to think that if they sit by and do nothing, we will all forget and move on with our lives until the next tragedy.
