The 38-year-old man was suspected of killing a mother and daughter in the Youngstown area.

Mahoning County sheriff’s officials said Jonathan Crago, 38, killed two women at a home in the 300 block of Watson Street in Lowellville at about 6:30 p.m.

Allen said Crago fled the scene in a 2007 green Ford Escape and told several people that “he was going to drive until he ran out of gas” and then die by suicide. He led officers on a chase through side streets before continuing to flee southbound on State Road to Pleasant Valley Road, where he drove east, police said.It drove east through side streets into Brooklyn Heights, where Crago struck a police cruiser before driving back into Parma, police said.

Crago called Cleveland police and informed officers of his intent to die by suicide, Parma police said.
