Jasmine Teal, left, and Makayla Noble-Hartlen are shown together during their day out on Thursday. - ContributedJasmine Teal, 20, and her friend Makayla Noble-Hartlen, 24, had just finished a little shopping Thursday evening and grabbed a bite to eat at McDonald’s. They made a final stop at Dairy Queen to pick up a couple of sundaes for the ride back to Noble-Hartlen’s place in Bedford. That, they say, is when the nightmare began.
But then Noble-Hartlen, who was still holding two dripping sundaes in her hand, knew something was wrong. Halifax Regional Police are investigating the incident. Friday morning, the Halifax force issued a news release. It said “the woman and her passenger became concerned that the vehicle and its lights did not look like a real police vehicle. They did the right thing and called 911 as they drove away.”
Noble-Hartlen said she was contacted by the police early Friday morning. She said she was told that two detectives are investigating the case.
