Lauren Lenentine, a rising star in women's curling, joins Kerri Einarson's team for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The 2020 world junior champion brings valuable experience and a fresh perspective to the team.

Lauren Lenentine is making a name for herself in the world of women's curling at a remarkably young age. The 2020 world junior champion, who will turn 25 in a few months, has already had the opportunity to play alongside some of the sport's most accomplished skips. After two seasons with Jennifer Jones, a 2014 Olympic gold medalist and six-time national champion, and a recent stint with Chelsea Carey, Lenentine is now joining forces with Kerri Einarson at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Lenentine's journey in the Scotties began with skip Mackenzie Zacharias, reaching back-to-back finals with Jones. She was also part of a five-player team that lost to Einarson in the 2023 final and played lead on last year's squad that fell to Rachel Homan. Her experience, both as a lead and a fifth player, will undoubtedly be valuable. As an alternate for Einarson's team, Lenentine will be ready to step in if needed, providing support both on and off the ice. Her responsibilities will include rock matching, scouting, and aiding in practice sessions. She joins a team hungry for its fifth national title, having won four consecutive titles from 2020-2023. Einarson, along with vice Val Sweeting, second Karlee Burgess, lead Krysten Karwacki, and coach Reid Carruthers, are looking forward to having Lenentine's fresh perspective and dedication. Lenentine expressed her eagerness to learn from the team's vast experience, particularly from Burgess, whom she knows well from previous team affiliations. This move to Einarson's team marks a new chapter for Lenentine after Carey's squad lost its pre-qualification status for both the Scotties and the Canadian Curling Trials due to roster changes. Lenentine sees this opportunity as a chance to keep growing and developing as a curler. Her adaptability and eagerness to learn have helped her navigate a challenging period of change in her curling career
