A York man will serve in jail for the next 10 years after leading a drug trafficking conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Luis D. Baez-Sierra, 38, was sentenced to 121 months imprisonment followed by five years of probation by U.S. District Court Judge Sylvia H. Rambo for drug trafficking. He previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to give out cocaine between May 2015 and May 2017.

Baez-Sierra was previously the head of a drug trafficking organization in York County, where he received narcotics through U.S. mail shipped from Puerto Rico.This case was investigated by the York City Police, The United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
