A World War Two-themed festival hosted by Al Murray - based on his successful podcast We Have Ways of Making You Talk - will be held a short distance from Silverstone. We Have Ways Fest was launched last year by the comedian alongside bestselling author and broadcaster James Holland.
History buffs will have plenty to enjoy over the three-day weekend event that offers a combination of displays of military gear and historical talks. The schedule has attracted some of the very best speakers around, including award-winning bestselling historians Max Hastings, Rana Mitter and Alex Ritchie.The podcast has seen a massive 20 million downloads since its launch three years ago, Produced by Goalhanger Films, it has become one of the most popular podcasts in the UK, with more than 2.
A packed programme of arena demonstrations showcasing a huge range of Second World War tanks, military vehicles and hardware will take place, including a late-night firing session which is sure to make a few visitors jump. As the festival takes place next to a brewery, there will be plenty of delicious local craft beer to go around.
