Plant-based food startup NotCo has hired Fernando Machado, formerly of Activision and Burger King, to help it break into the U.S. market as CMO
NotCo is looking to learn from these companies’ challenges, said Mr. Muchnick. It has entered a range of product categories and signed deals with larger food brands while using its tech as a point of differentiation. In addition to selling its own branded products, NotCo also licenses its proprietary AI technology so other manufacturers can produce plant-based foods.
