A wrong-way crash on Bandera Road killed a motorist and injured two others.
One person was killed and two others injured Sunday when the driver of a white van was traveling the wrong way on Bandera and crashed into a pickup head-on.A man was killed and two people were seriously injured in a wrong-way crash on the Northwest Side on Mother’s Day.
The 10:45 a.m. crash snarled traffic in the 1100 block of Bandera Road, near Zachry Drive, for much of the day. According to police, a man driving a white van was traveling the wrong way on Bandera, hit a black pickup truck head-on and collided with a sport-utility vehicle, police said. The wrong-way driver was unresponsive and died en route to the hospital. Police said he was 62 years old.
The other two drivers had serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said. No names were released.
