World's first sail thru fish and chip shop near Glasgow wins takeaway of the year award 🚢🐟
A unique sail thru fish and chip shop - deemed the world's first - has won a prestigious takeaway of the year award.
The event organisers said following the announcement of the winners: "Takeaways have been around for so long and are an integral part of our high streets and culture. There is no doubt that it is a fast-growing sector and will continue to shake up Scotland’s economy as more and more food entrepreneurs chose to provide food on the go and delivery services."The awards also celebrated top establishments that strive to be different.
And their menu includes all the classics - haddock, sausage and haggis are all on the menu as well as traditional breakfasts, pizzas and healthy light bite, offering takeaways, open air dining, family meals and delivery - and of course that unique sail-thru experience. “This industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to seek out, reward and thank those who have managed to make a real difference by serving fantastic food, using the best of ingredients.
