The World Health Organization has kept its alert on monkeypox so high, in part, to trigger a coordinated international response to raise funding and collaborate on vaccines and treatments.
The multi-continent monkeypox out break that stirred major concern among U.S. health officials in recent months is still at the World Health Organization's highest level of concern.
It's is considered a"public health emergency of international concern ," according to the UN agency's Emergency Committee.
