Just before 1 p.m., Halifax Regional Police were called to a restaurant on Hollis Street where a customer had reportedly refused to pay for his meal and cut one of the employees when they approached him.

The accused, later identified as Blake Martin Swan, fled on foot but was arrested a short distance away. The 28-year-old is charged with robbery, assault causing bodily harm, possessing a weapon dangerous to public peace, fraudulently obtaining food, possessing property under $5,000 obtained by crime, and three counts of failing to reply with a release order.
