The stock market has closed and the traders have gone home, but Josh Lipton and the Yahoo Finance team are still looking back on the day's biggest market...

what a higher interest rate environment could mean for bank profitsI'm Josh Lipton , and for the next half hour we're going to be breaking down the trends of today that will move stocks tomorrow.

Now, many tech companies we know have been ramping up a I investments to capitalise on the artificial intelligence hype. They say, What does a I ultimately mean for Carl's company because their point is, if a I If this mega trend is really gonna be successful, couldn't that potentially really dramatically temper employee growth?Yeah, So let's first start with the A I trend we're seeing out there. We've had many different tectonic shifts over the year.

A lot of these companies are a I We wanna stay as close to the start up community in a I as possible. You know, just recently over the last last, uh, you know, six months, we've, you know, some of the companies we've invested and are now part of us. So we just laid out what we call our midterm guide over the next, you know, 2.5 years, which is a 15% growth rate. You know, we're over 8 billion on our track to 10 billion and 15% grow over three is pretty good.In fact, a lot of people ask us, you know what or how are you monetizing a I something we get asked. We've been on this journey for 10 years, and we are now monetizing it in many different dimensions.

So you still need data from tomorrow to create a good P CE, which is what the Fed looks that create a good forecast. But Josh, the interesting takeaway from it really was the market action, right? That's its highest level since late July.I'm not going far enough back here. And so that's been the trend has been OK. Markets are pricing for higher rates right now, maybe higher than we thought.

Whitley is on a mission to transform a 55 year old defence tech firm by using ethical A I to shape our national security.Townes Whitley wants SA I to set the standard in biometric image capture and analysis to get to what she calls the ground truth on identity. The consequences, uh, of that technology Have we thought about those in terms of the consequences on humans on processes?

If you were at a dinner party and you're just trying to describe to them what S a IC does in layman's terms, how would you?I think of S a IC sitting at an intersection where with military customers with national security customers and with government agencies, agencies that people do understand Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration that handles air traffic control the VA that supports veterans all over the world within the Department of Homeland Security.

Key customers include the departments of Defence, Justice and Homeland Security, as well as the State Department and NASA. Anti war activists and environmental, social and governance investors argue that companies like S A, with 75% of revenue coming from defence and national security contracts, are profiting from war.

Her dedication to service led her to the peace school, spending three years in Gabon, in central Africa, those three years in Gabon and on the equator, they were critical.I learned a lot about who I was a lot about dealing with other people and a lot about how do you shore up in some resilience through difficult times, when I think of where you are now one of two black women, CEO S in the Fortune 500 the first black CEO of a publicly traded defence company.

So this is a facility like none of nowhere else in the world and what this is doing, the centre is, is allowing S, a IC in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, to really test with biometrics how artificial intelligence and other ways that we capture images, how those how accurate they are and how efficiently we can capture those images.
