Under the Online Harms Act, operators would have the more specific duty to make inaccessible to all persons in Canada content that sexually victimizes a child or revictimizes a survivor, and intimate content communicated without consent, including deepfake images that fall under this category of content. Under this duty, operators of regulated services would have to make the content inaccessible if they become aware of it themselves in the course of operations or if it is flagged by users.
