Crime Stoppers offering reward for information leading to her arrest
Greater Sudbury Police and Crime Stoppers are hoping the public can help locate a woman wanted on several outstanding warrants.
Police allege that back in November 2022, Chelsea Osawamick shoplifted from a store in the New Sudbury Centre and assaulted and threatened a store employee and mall security staff when confronted. Then, on March 8, GSPS alleges Osawamick entered a store in the Four Corners area of the South End, and attempted to leave the store with several high-priced items that she didn’t pay for. Police said she did manage to leave the store with some of what she stole after assaulting store employees.
Osawamick was on a release order at the time of both incidents, GSPS said, and has additional charges before the court, as well as a pending warrant. Police believe she is in the Greater Sudbury area. Osawamick, 29, is described as standing 5-9 and weighing 118 lbs, with brown hair and eyes.Anyone with information on Osawamick’s whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers, which offers a cash reward for information leading to an arrest. You can call Crime Stoppers at 705-222-TIPS or toll-free at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be submitted online at SudburyRainbowCrimeStoppers.com.
