Liz, a 58-year-old woman, suffered severe injuries after being attacked by a dog she knew at her home in Whitby. The incident is being investigated by Whitby Animal Services, but police say it appears to be isolated. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover Liz's extensive medical expenses and lost wages.
Whitby Animal Services is looking into the incident which happened at a home in the Brock Street and Taunton Road area.
The victim’s sister-in-law set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of medical bills and equipment and any lost wages from her part-time job. The funds may also help the victim’s two university kids, pictured with their mom above, who had paused their studies to help with their mother’s recovery.
