Ip doesn’t drink alcohol, but she did have with her a bottle of wine purchased as a gift for her mother. She also had one juice box and lollipops. She drank the wine on day three of her ordeal. On the fourth day, terrified she wasn’t going to be found alive, Ip wrote a letter to her family, according to the Herald Sun. “I love you all. Don’t cry for me.”
After being lost for five days, the police were just as happy to see her as she was to see them, Sgt. Martin Torpey, of Wodonga Police, told reporters.
