Residents reported the fire at around 5 a.m. Saturday at the corner of 2nd and Pine Streets in Steelton, according to Dauphin County Dispatch.
A woman who jumped from a third story window early Saturday morning to escape a raging fire severed her spinal cord and is now paralyzed,
Lynn Croman suffered several broken bones and damaged her spinal cord, according to the post by her cousin, Denise Tucci. She is recovering in an ICU. Croman jumped from the building’s third story to escape the fire, according to Tucci, and hit the roof on the second floor, then the ground. Croman’s roommate was also burned by the fire, Tucci said.
The money raised through the GoFundMe will be used to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses, but to also help Croman restart a life that is going to be difficult, Tucci said. “She has a long way to go,” Tucci said. “If you can’t donate we ask that you pray, share this post, and keep it going as we the family help her,” Tucci said.Feds seek one of the longest prison terms for central Pa.
