A woman in her 40s was shot and killed in East Oakland on Sunday night, according to police.
OAKLAND — A woman died Sunday night after an East Oakland shooting, according to police.
Officers responded to a gunshot detection system alert on the 3400 block of 82nd Avenue, above McArthur Avenue, just after 9 p.m. Police didn’t find anyone at the scene upon arrival. Investigations revealed that the victim, believed to be a woman in her 40s, was transported to the hospital by another person, where she later died. Police were yet to identify a suspect or motive as of Monday morning.
