A woman died early Monday after trying to cross part of the 610 Loop following an argument with her Uber driver, officials said. Police around 12 a.m. responded to a report that a pickup truck struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Interstate 10 and the 610 Loop on the east side of town, Metro Video Services reported. Investigators found a woman dead in the middle of the road.Witnesses told detectives a woman had been riding in an Uber heading east when she got into an argument with the driver, officials said. The driver pulled to the side of the highway and dropped her off.
The driver of the pickup waited at the scene to speak with officers, officials said. Investigators don’t suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.
