Police have arrested and charged a 47-year-old Pictou County woman following a drug bust in New Glasgow on March 3.NEW GLASGOW, P.E.I. — A 47-year-old woman is facing drug-related charges after police searched a home in New Glasgow on March 3.

Around 10 a.m. on Friday, officers with the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the New Glasgow Regional Police executed a search warrant at a home on Brother Street. Following a lengthy investigation, police said officers seized a quantity of drugs and packaging materials. A woman from Pictou County was arrested at the scene without incident. She has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order condition.Police said the investigation is ongoing.
