Sudbury loses 6-4 to Owen Sound in St. Patrick’s Day game
There was no luck of the Irish for the travelling Sudbury Wolves who played a spirited, but ultimately losing, game against the Owen Sound Attack on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Wolves tried everything they could to put the puck past George in the next several minutes, but didn’t have any luck, and as a result, the Attack made the game 2-0 with a goal from Servac Petrovsky, his 18th goal of the season, with 4:36 remaining in the first period. With just two seconds remaining in the first, Sudbury Wolves’ forward Alex Pharand was hooked while on a breakaway, and scored on the ensuing penalty shot, making the score 3-2 for Owen Sound after the first 20 minutes of play.
Barlow completed a hat trick some 52 seconds into the third period to tie the game up for the Attack, 4-4.
