Two youth in Witless Bay have been charged after fleeing police on ATVs over the weekend.

On Sunday, RCMP witnessed three ATVs driving on the roadways near Witless Bay Line. When police attempted to pull the vehicles over, the drivers fled the scene at a high rate of speed.Moments later, officers located two of the three ATVs at an intersection. The drivers once again fled the scene heading towards Deans Road.

RCMP patrolled the area and found the two drivers parked at the end of the road. Their ATVs were impounded and the two youth were charged and ticketed $325 for flight from police.The third ATV was not located and the investigation continues.
