Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly, Environment Canada says

Winter weather travel advisory for early this morning.Snow, heavy at times, could significantly reduce visibility.Lake effect snow is expected to continue early this morning before tapering of to flurries. However, this lake effect snow is expected to impact the area for the remainder of the week with brief breaks. Areas that will be affected will be determined by the wind direction off of Lake Superior.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
