Forward Jansen Harkins is now a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins after being claimed off waivers.
Harkins is signed through the 2023.24 campaign and his contract carries an average annual value of $850,000.Harkins was one of five players put on waivers by the Jets on Sunday. Defenceman Ashton Sautner and forwards Jeff Malott, Kristian Reichel and Dominic Toninato all cleared waivers.
He is entering the final year of a two-year contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
