Wing Showdown brings celebrity\u002Dapproved recipes to Vancouver eateries
That delicious combination will be on display July 29 to Aug 2 as part of a special celebrity-led event with Uber Eats called The Wing Showdown. The food initiative sees a handful of restaurants in Vancouver, Toronto and select American cities serving up beloved chicken wing recipes hand-picked by 10 celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Tyra Banks, Jessie James Decker and Shaquille O’Neal.
The recipes on offer, Kassim says, are ones that each celebrity spent time “curating and crafting” in order to get just right. The recipe that garners the most votes will be crowned the Best Wing Overall 2020, and will see a donation made in the celebrity’s name to the Center for Policing Equity, which aims to end racial bias in policing by using “data-driven strategies.
