He said the last time would have been around 2006 under the late chief Fred Fox. That vehicle was destined for the substation in Southwest Hants. The last new fire truck designed for the Windsor station was a tanker in 2004, he said. The 2022 E-One Typhoon 100-foot rear-mount single-axle quint arrived in Windsor in late November. - ContributedWith so many people working out of town, daytime response in communities across the county varies. That’s why auto aid, mutual aid and rightsizing with appropriate equipment is so important, he said.
“Instead of having the same apparatus duplicated, it adds more versatility to all of our operations in West Hants."In 2015, Brooklyn Fire Department received a platform aerial and last year, a 2022 Spartan chassis pumper tanker arrived. Hantsport’s new 100-foot quint will be provided by Rocky Mountain Phoenix. Maynard said they’re predicting the quint will arrive in late 2023 or early 2024.
