Willy, a rodeo goat, was found safe after she escaped from her enclosure in Willacy County in South Texas last month.
Businesses donated prizes and gifts — including season passes to the livestock show, brisket and barbecue, cases of beer, bales of hay, car detailing, salon treatments and gift cards — to whoever returned the goat.Ricardo Rojas III and Sammy Ambriz captured Willy on Monday.
Neighbors had talked about possible goat sightings nearby so Rojas’ dad told him to grab some ropes and they hatched a plan,Rojas used the cries of one of his family’s goats to lure Willy out of a wooded area behind their property. When they spotted her, Rojas and Ambriz gave chase, cornered the goat and tried to lasso her but were initially unsuccessful.“And then she started to run again. But luckily … her head got stuck in the fence,” Rojas told the AP. “Me and Sammy jumped on top of her.
