Report by Colliers points to mandated office days, type of workspace and commuting problems as three areas companies can work on to improve making workers want to come back
As Canadian companies struggle to get workers to return to the office, a report examining what might bring them back has found overcoming commuting hurdles and office layouts are key.
Titled “The hybrid equation: what drives employees to the office,” the report, which surveyed 500 office workers, breaks down three factors for encouraging a return to in-office work. They include the number of days mandated to be there, the type of workspace and the commute. “Some people feel very strongly about a remote arrangement, others really want to go back to the office.” Palmerin-Velasco said. “There is not one size that fits all.”
