Herman Cain, the former Republican presidential candidate and pizza executive, and former Wall Street Journal editorial writer Stephen Moore are unlikely to win Senate confirmation for seats on the Federal Reserve, one long-time Washington watcher says.

“These are people who like a steady dollar DXY, +0.07% and they don’t believe growth causes inflation,” Kudlow said. Moore and Cain would reflect those views on the Fed and will “balance other views” on the central bank, he added. Cain withdrew from his effort to win the 2012 Republican nomination for president due to sexual harassment allegations.
