Other than two excised F-bombs, Lin-Manuel Miranda promises fans 'Hamilton' film is 'the whole show, every note & scene' and even an intermission.

Monday, the writer and star of"Hamilton," which opened on Broadway in 2015, responded to a fan worried that the film's PG-13 rating meant iconic lines had to be cut."@Lin_Manuel hey hey so excited about Hamilton on Disney+ and OH my god I finally get to see you as A.

Miranda said he will drop a couple of profanities – two of the three F-bombs in the show – because a Motion Picture Association of America rule requires an R rating if there is more than one in a film. "I literally gave two so kids could see it," he wrote. He goes on to explain where the two words are dropped."In 'Yorktown,' there's a mute over 'I get the f___ back up again." In"Washington on Your Side," a longer phrase that features the word is adjusted with a sound effect to become"Southern *record scratch*kin' Democratic Republicans," he wrote.

Fans, many of whom know"Hamilton" lyrics backwards and forwards from seeing and hearing the show so many times, have the creator's blessing in adding back the words when they watch:"You can sing whatEVER you like at home !"The film version of the Tony Award-winning musical, shot over three days in June 2016 with the original Broadway cast, originally was scheduled to premiere in theaters in October 2021, but Miranda and Disney announced the July streaming service date...

Despite the small changes, Miranda reassured fans they will get the same"Hamilton" they've seen onstage and listened to via soundtrack: "You're getting the whole show, every note & scene, & a 1-minute countdown clock during intermission "
